PIETRA SMERALDA

It is a schist from the Spluga Valley, in the province of Sondrio, Italy. The rock has a medium to coarse grain size with marked planar anisotropy alternating wavy beds of ivory-white and silver-green-gray color, resulting in the typical overall light green-white color.
